Q: What is Pay per Click or PPC?

A: Pay per Click is a method where advertisers pay a fixed amount to a particular search engine every time their ad is clicked on the search results. The ad is displayed in the sponsored links of the search results. PPC is the easiest way to bring traffic to your website provided you are ready to spend money for getting the visitors.
Pay Per Click (PPC) is also known as Bid For Location, Bid For Position, Cost Per Click (CPC), Pay For Performance, Pay Per Performance, Pay For Placement, Pay Per Placement, Pay For Position, Pay Per Position, Pay For Ranking, Pay Per Ranking and Pay For Result search engines.

Q: What are ads?

A: Ads are a short description containing Title followed by a fixed character limited text that gets dislayed everytime a searcher searches through a keyword that you have bid upon.

Q: What is a Keyword?

A: A Keyword or a Keyword phrase is the word or set of words which a visitor might use to search for anything on the web. For example, a man searching for health tips may use “health & fitness tips” to search for a website related to helth. This makes “health & fitness tips”, a keyphrase.

Q: What is Google Adwords?

A: Google Adwords is Google’s paid Advertising system that enables a website owner to advertise on the Search Engine Result pages on ‘pay per click’ methodology. The ads appear in the sponsored links area. Other such advertizing system are adCenter for MSN, Overture for Yahoo

Q: How is the position of my ads defines in Google Adwords?

A: The position of your ad is based upon your bid on any particular keyword. The bid is optimized in a manner so that a balanced Return on Investments is achieved.
